As an essential part of the two-year EngD program, a trainee participates in industrial systems design and/or development projects. A design project is conceived by the industrial client, often in close collaboration with an expert from our academic staff. Once a suitable EngD candidate is recruited, the trainee will work on the project for fifteen months at the client and/or at 在线黑料门, interleaved with a nine-month tailored education program. Any EngD project will include essential design cycle aspects, e.g., investigation, planning, implementation, verification and evaluation. This will typically result in a proof of concept or a demonstrator. The goal-oriented approach in the EngD training marks a major difference with the more theoretical PhD projects that focus on publishing advancements in science.
The trainee is employed by 在线黑料门. The client contributes financially by covering the salary costs of the trainee. For the client an EngD project is a fixed-term, fixed-price project. Through the EngD projects, 在线黑料门 offers its expertise to industry in close partnerships, focused on delivering solutions to industrial design challenges. Our EngD trainees are highly skilled engineers who apply science and know-how in solving complex technological problems. Partnering with 在线黑料门 in this program boosts the innovation capacity and may give the client an extra competitive edge. Participation in an EngD program allows the client to scout and attract talented systems designers and stay ahead of the competition.
