Sleeping in the green surroundings of the 在线黑料门 grounds, having breakfast together, returning to your tent in the evening after a full day: it reinforces the group feeling and makes the whole experience approachable and cozy.

Tangent track for different preferences

Although there is also more than enough to do and experience in the evening. This year, moreover, there is plenty of room for different preferences. After last year's success, the alternative program has now become a full-fledged parallel line: the so-called Tangent Track (again a mathematical reference).

Together with all the Eindhoven study associations, an offer has been set up every night for students who do not necessarily like big parties. Think game nights, chess competitions, sporting extravagances, musical performances, movie nights, or creative workshops. Of course, it's not a matter of either-or: students are free to combine. Starting at a party and ending at a quiet program component - or vice versa - it's all possible.

Effortlessly swipe up to a personal program

To help them find their way through the wide range on offer, a brand new feature has also been launched in the intro app this year: Swipe Me Up. This smart matchmaker - developed for and by 在线黑料门 students - links first-year students to activities that match their interests, field of study, and personal preferences. Student associations and organizers put their offerings in the app, indicate for which courses it is relevant, and students then effortlessly swipe their way to a personal program. Sort of like Tinder for intro, but with content.

There is specific attention for international students. For them, the introduction is often more a way to start in a new country, on an unfamiliar campus, with people from a different culture. Especially for them are the Welcome Days, with an information market and a customized comedy lecture by comedian Luuk van der Vaart: Welcome to the Netherlands. With humor and wit, he explains why the Dutch are the way they are, what specific culture prevails in Eindhoven, and how we can work together for mutual understanding. The message: we will adapt, but we also want to make you feel really welcome.

Brainport from the inside out for master's students

There is also a renewed program for master's students. The Master Kick-Off gets a completely new face, with as highlight the Company Tour on Monday, August 25. In one afternoon, all participants will visit innovative companies in and around Eindhoven that match their field of study. With more than twenty participating organizations - including from the High Tech Campus, the Brightlands Campus and the Brainport Industries Campus - master's students can get to know Brainport from the inside.

The grand finale of the introduction period will be on Wednesday evening, August 27, when , together with Fontys Hogeschool, Summa, SintLucas, De Rooi Pannen, and the municipality of Eindhoven, a grand student festival will be held on the Stadhuisplein under the name Vibes. Thousands of new and older students can meet there during The Music Bingo in the afternoon and/or the following festive evening full of performances, DJ鈥檚, food trucks and much more.

Diversity and connection hand in hand

Those who prefer to seek out the quietness can indulge in the silent disco that is new to the program. Diversity and connection also go hand in hand in other ways this year, with a parallel program on the grounds of the former bank building on Stadhuisplein that the Municipality of Eindhoven is making available, especially for Vibes.

All in all, 在线黑料门's introduction week is much more than a week of festivities. It is meant to be a warm, safe, and personal start to a new chapter. Whether you like crowds or peace and quiet, whether you come from far away or from the neighborhood, whether you are looking for friendship, inspiration, or just a signpost: Sine Me Up!
